This year, Durat Open 2023 tennis tournament got 28 enthusiastic architect/designer tennis players on the move. At the end of the sweaty day, Albert Rabaza from Kirsti Sivén-Arto Takala Architects won the tournament and got his name to the round prize for the second time. The singles final was played with Harri Holopainen from Mallitoimisto Holopainen.
The doubles had to be rushed due to time constraints, and the result was surprising: at the end of the day, there were three winners instead of two: Francesco Pontalti from FPA + Era WS Architects, Sakari Paananen from Punavuoren Puuhevonen and Mikko Blomberg from Huttunen-Lipasti Architects.
How that can happen is a bit obscure even for the author. However, the result is indisputable and all winners will get their own trophy and name immortalized on its side.
